Overview

RP7101 is a second-generation nucleoside derivative developed by RESprotect for the treatment of cancer. It is designed to target Heat shock protein beta-1 (Hsp27), a molecular chaperone that plays a significant role in drug resistance and cell survival in various malignancies. As a derivative of RP101 (brivudine), RP7101 aims to modulate Hsp27 function to enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy and overcome resistance mechanisms. It is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
