RP901

RP901 is an orally administered small molecule drug candidate developed by Risen Shanghai Medical Technology for the treatment of osteoarthritis (OA). Classified as a Class I novel drug, RP901 is designed to be rapidly transformed in vivo following oral administration, allowing it to accumulate in the joint cavity. Its therapeutic mechanism involves protecting bone and mitigating cartilage destruction by simultaneously promoting anabolic pathways and inhibiting catabolic pathways within the joint. Risen Pharma's subsidiary, T-mab Bio, has entered into a licensing agreement with Mabwell (Maiwei Biotech) for the development and commercialization of RP901 in the Greater China region. The drug is currently in the IND-enabling stage of development.
