RPh201

RPh201 is a botanical drug product developed by Regenera Pharma Ltd, consisting of a purified and stabilized 5% (w/w) extract derived from gum mastic, the resin exudate of the *Pistacia lentiscus* tree. Formulated as a topical oil for the treatment of partial thickness burns, the drug is designed to promote wound healing by stimulating granulation and epithelialization. In addition to its wound-healing properties, RPh201 exhibits anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects. While initially investigated for burns, its primary clinical development has pivoted toward neurodegenerative and neurological conditions, where it is thought to exert neuroprotective and neuroenhancing effects, particularly in diseases such as nonarteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION) and Alzheimer's disease.
