Overview

rPhleum is an investigational recombinant allergen immunotherapy developed by Allergopharma for the treatment of grass pollen-induced allergic rhinoconjunctivitis. It consists of an equimolar cocktail of five recombinant major allergens from *Phleum pratense* (Timothy grass): Phl p 1, Phl p 2, Phl p 5a, Phl p 5b, and Phl p 6. These allergens are adsorbed onto aluminium hydroxide for subcutaneous administration. The drug aims to modulate the IgE-mediated allergic immune response, inducing desensitization and immunological tolerance. Clinical development included the pivotal Phase 3 AMETHYST trial, which evaluated its efficacy and safety in adults and adolescents.
