Drug intelligence / Profile preview
rPOC CAR-TaNK is an **autologous, subcutaneous CAR-engineered cell therapy platform** developed by EXUMA Biotech for cancer treatment. The platform generates **CAR-TaNK cells**, engineered immune cells with both **T-cell and natural killer-like properties**, intended to attack tumor cells after point-of-care manufacturing and subcutaneous administration. EXUMA has described initial programs targeting **CD19** and **CD22** for **B-cell malignancies**, while the broader platform is also being positioned for **solid tumors**. The approach is designed to enable rapid manufacturing and outpatient-style treatment logistics, with the goal of avoiding lymphodepleting chemotherapy and prolonged hospitalization; preclinical studies have also reported in vivo expansion in lymphoreplete models following formation of synthetic lymph node-like tertiary lymphoid structures after subcutaneous injection.
