Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RPT3 is a preclinical-stage small molecule inhibitor of nicotinamide phosphoribosyltransferase (NAMPT) developed by Remedy Plan Therapeutics for the treatment of obesity. The drug utilizes a proprietary approach of 'tunable' or fractional NAMPT inhibition, designed to modulate cellular energy metabolism and NAD+ levels while avoiding the systemic toxicities associated with complete NAMPT blockade. By targeting the rate-limiting enzyme of the NAD+ salvage pathway, RPT3 aims to address metabolic dysfunction underlying obesity. The program is currently in the lead optimization phase of development.
