Overview

RQ-00000010 is a novel, highly potent and selective small molecule partial agonist of the serotonin 5-hydroxytryptamine 4 (5‑HT4) receptor. It is being developed primarily for the treatment of gastrointestinal motility disorders, including gastroparesis, functional dyspepsia, chronic constipation, and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). The drug acts by stimulating the 5‑HT4 receptor to enhance intestinal motility. Originally discovered at Pfizer and later developed by RaQualia Pharma following its spin-out from Pfizer, it has also been licensed to other companies for further development. Its primary indications are in both human and veterinary medicine for gut motility disorders[1][2][3][7].
