RQ-2500 is a personalized mRNA-based cancer vaccine being developed by RNAcure. The therapeutic approach involves identifying unique mutations, known as neoantigens, within a patient's tumor through genomic sequencing and encoding these specific sequences into an mRNA molecule. Once administered, the vaccine is designed to prompt the patient's immune system to recognize and attack cells expressing these neoantigens, thereby providing a highly specific anti-tumor response. This personalized modality aims to overcome the limitations of broad-spectrum therapies by tailoring the treatment to the individual genetic profile of the patient's cancer, potentially improving efficacy while minimizing systemic toxicity.
