RQ3025 is an investigational **bivalent lipid-nanoparticle-formulated modified mRNA COVID-19 vaccine** developed to broaden immunity against SARS-CoV-2 variants. It contains two mRNA components, RQ3013 and RQ3019, encoding chimeric near-full-length SARS-CoV-2 spike antigens representing Alpha/Beta and Omicron BA.2/BA.4/BA.5-associated mutations, respectively. Following intramuscular administration, host cells translate the mRNAs and present spike antigens, inducing variant-reactive neutralizing antibodies and cellular immune responses. RQ3025 has been evaluated as a booster in COVID-19 vaccine-experienced adults and generated broader neutralizing-antibody responses than the predecessor monovalent RQ3013 vaccine in reported studies.
