Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RQB01 is a long-acting, potent, and broadly protective monoclonal antibody designed as a once-yearly prophylactic injection for the prevention of seasonal influenza infections. Developed by RQ Bio, the antibody is engineered to target conserved, invariant epitopes of the influenza virus that are resilient to seasonal variation and strain evolution. By binding to these conserved regions, RQB01 blocks viral entry into host cells, providing immediate and season-long passive immunity. This approach is specifically designed to protect high-risk and vulnerable populations, such as the elderly and immunocompromised individuals, who often exhibit poor immune responses to traditional seasonal influenza vaccines. As of mid-2026, RQB01 is undergoing IND-enabling preclinical studies.
