Overview

RR-M02 is an experimental Chimeric Antigen Receptor Macrophage (CAR-M) cell therapy being developed by RocRock Biotechnology for the treatment of pancreatic cancer. Utilizing the company's proprietary CAR-M technology platform, the therapy involves engineering macrophages to express a chimeric antigen receptor that targets specific markers on pancreatic cancer cells. This approach aims to overcome the immunosuppressive microenvironment of solid tumors by leveraging the innate phagocytic and antigen-presenting capabilities of macrophages. As of early 2024, RR-M02 is in the preclinical stage of development, specifically undergoing proof-of-concept and animal studies.
