RR-M06 is an experimental Chimeric Antigen Receptor Macrophage (CAR-M) cell therapy being developed by RocRock Biotechnology for the treatment of brain glioma. This therapeutic candidate utilizes macrophages engineered with a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) to specifically target tumor cells, promote phagocytosis, and modulate the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment characteristic of gliomas. By leveraging the innate ability of macrophages to infiltrate solid tumors, RR-M06 aims to overcome the limitations often faced by T-cell-based therapies in the central nervous system. As of early 2024, the specific molecular target of RR-M06 remains undisclosed by the developer, and the program is in the preclinical stage of development, specifically within the proof-of-concept and animal experimentation phases.
