RR001

RR001 is an investigational gene therapy composed of autologous human adipose perivascular stromal cells that are genetically modified to secrete soluble tumour necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (sTRAIL). This cell-based therapy is designed as a form of autologous cell transplant and falls under the category of gene and cell replacement therapies. The primary mechanism involves delivering genetically engineered cells capable of producing sTRAIL, which can induce apoptosis in tumor cells. RR001 is being developed for the treatment of locally advanced pancreatic adenocarcinoma and has reached Phase 1/2 clinical trials.
