RS-0964 is a radiopharmaceutical candidate developed by RS Research (RS Arastirma Egitim Danismanlik Ilac Sanayi Ticaret) for the diagnosis and treatment of cancers expressing the Gastrin-Releasing Peptide Receptor (GRPR). The drug is built on the proprietary Sagitta platform, which employs a monodisperse, biodegradable, and biocompatible polymer (poly-L-glutamic acid) to deliver therapeutic or diagnostic payloads specifically to tumor cells. As a theranostic agent, RS-0964 can be complexed with various radioisotopes; for instance, it may use Gallium-68 for PET imaging or Lutetium-177 for targeted radiotherapy. By targeting GRPR, which is frequently overexpressed in malignancies like prostate, breast, and small cell lung cancer, RS-0964 aims to provide a precision medicine approach with reduced off-target toxicity compared to conventional treatments.
