Overview

rS1-mmGMCSF is a genetically engineered **oncolytic reovirus** designed to express the mouse granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (**mmGM-CSF**) gene. It is intended to enhance anti-tumor immunity in preclinical models of cancer, specifically demonstrated in murine models of pancreatic cancer. The mechanism involves oncolytic viral activity combined with local expression of GM-CSF, which promotes immune cell recruitment and activation, intensifying the anti-tumor immune response[3]. The drug is under investigation and has not reached market approval.
