Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RS_004 is a preclinical small molecule allosteric kinase inhibitor being developed by Redesign Science for the treatment of moderate to severe inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Discovered using the company's proprietary NUVO™ technology platform, RS_004 is designed as a Targeted Protein Interaction Modulator (TPIM™). Unlike traditional orthosteric inhibitors that target the highly conserved ATP-binding pocket, RS_004 targets an allosteric site to modulate specific kinase-mediated protein-protein interactions. This mechanism is intended to provide enhanced selectivity and a differentiated therapeutic profile for chronic inflammatory conditions. The program is currently in the lead optimization phase.
