Overview

RSPO1-neutralizing antibody is a therapeutic monoclonal antibody designed to inhibit R-spondin 1 (RSPO1), a protein significantly upregulated following myocardial infarction (MI). RSPO1 acts through the LGR4-β-catenin-IRF7 signaling axis to drive the polarization of macrophages toward a pro-inflammatory phenotype, which contributes to adverse ventricular remodeling and the progression of heart failure. By neutralizing RSPO1, the antibody reduces the expression of interferon-stimulated genes and attenuates cardiac dysfunction. Developed by researchers at Ruijin Hospital, this agent has demonstrated efficacy in preclinical models, suggesting its potential as a strategy for treating post-MI heart failure and preventing pathological cardiac remodeling.
