RST-002

RST-002 is a preclinical senolytic therapy being developed by Centenara Labs (formerly Rejuveron Life Sciences) through its Centenara Senescence Therapeutics division (previously known as Rejuveron Senescence Therapeutics or RejuverSen). The drug targets senescent cells—cells that have entered a state of permanent cell-cycle arrest but remain metabolically active, contributing to tissue aging and disease through the secretion of pro-inflammatory factors. RST-002 is specifically being developed for the treatment of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) and Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), with the goal of improving organ function by clearing these "zombie cells" from affected tissues. The therapeutic approach is based on the research of cellular senescence expert Prof. Manuel Serrano. While the specific active ingredient and modality have not been publicly disclosed, the drug is part of a broader pipeline that includes other senolytic candidates targeting different indications.
