Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**RSV(A)-Alum** is an investigational prophylactic peptide vaccine against respiratory syncytial virus subgroup A. It contains a synthetic dimeric peptide representing the ectodomain of the RSV small hydrophobic glycoprotein as the antigen, co-administered with aluminum hydroxide alum adjuvant. The vaccine is designed to induce SHe-specific humoral immune responses that may support immune recognition and clearance of RSV-infected cells. It was evaluated as an alum-formulated comparator to the DepoVax-formulated DPX-RSV(A) vaccine in a completed Phase 1 randomized, observer-blinded trial in healthy adults aged 50 to 64 years.
