Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RSV-604 is a small molecule inhibitor of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) replication. It targets the nucleocapsid protein and has shown submicromolar activity against both A and B subtypes of RSV. The drug is under investigation for its antiviral properties, particularly in post-stem cell transplant patients with RSV infection. It acts by inhibiting viral RNA synthesis and reducing the infectivity of released virus.
