RSV A Memphis 37 (M37) is a low-passage clinical isolate of respiratory syncytial virus subtype A, utilized primarily as a viral challenge agent in controlled human infection models (CHIM). Originally isolated from a 4-month-old infant and manufactured under cGMP standards, it is used to deliberately infect healthy volunteers via intranasal inoculation.
