Overview
RSV-B-I54 is a GMP-manufactured, wild-type Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) strain of the B subtype, developed by the Centre for Human Drug Research (CHDR) for use in controlled human infection models (CHIM). It is administered intranasally to healthy adult volunteers to establish a reproducible and safe RSV infection. This model serves as a platform for evaluating the efficacy of novel RSV vaccines and antiviral therapeutics in a clinical setting.
