Drug intelligence / Profile preview
The RSV F subunit is a protein component derived from the Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) fusion (F) glycoprotein. It is under investigation as a vaccine antigen to stimulate the immune system and induce protective antibodies against RSV. This subunit can exist in different conformational states, primarily prefusion (pre-F) and postfusion (post-F), with prefusion-stabilized forms often eliciting a broader and more potent neutralizing antibody response.
