Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Pandemblock's RSV nasal spray is a discovery-stage, intranasal protein-based inhibitor designed for the prevention and potentially immediate treatment of Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) infection. The drug utilizes the proprietary **Sherpabody** platform, which consists of small antibody-mimetic proteins derived from human SH3 domains. These Sherpabodies are engineered to be highly stable and are among the smallest targeting domains developed (less than 6 kDa and fewer than 60 amino acids). Administered as a nasal spray, the inhibitor targets and inactivates viral proteins at the mucosal point of entry, providing localized protection within the respiratory tract. The platform allows for cost-effective production in bacterial expression systems, offering an alternative to traditional monoclonal antibody therapies. The candidate is modeled after the company's more advanced COVID-19 product, Covidin (TriSb92).
