Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RSV preventive monoclonal antibody is a long-acting monoclonal antibody candidate being developed by SK Bioscience and Sanofi for the prevention of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infection, primarily in infants. The project is supported by the RIGHT Foundation and the International Vaccine Institute (IVI). This candidate is designed to provide passive immunity by neutralizing the RSV virus, likely through binding to the viral fusion (F) protein, which prevents the virus from fusing with and entering host respiratory cells. Engineered for an extended half-life, the antibody aims to provide protection throughout an entire RSV season with a single dose. It is currently in Phase 1 clinical development.
