Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RSVpreF + BNT162b2 is a combination of two vaccines: RSVpreF, a bivalent prefusion F protein-based vaccine targeting respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) subgroups A and B, and BNT162b2, an mRNA-based COVID-19 vaccine encoding the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2. The combination is being studied for concomitant or admixed administration to protect older adults against both RSV and COVID-19. Clinical studies in adults aged 65 years or older have shown that the combined or coadministered vaccines are safe, well tolerated, and elicit noninferior immune responses compared to each component given alone. This approach aims to improve vaccination rates by simplifying immunization schedules for multiple respiratory pathogens[1][2][5].
