RT-01

RT-01 is an investigational recombinant oncolytic virus developed by Beijing Ruitai Biotechnology. Based on a herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) backbone, RT-01 is engineered to selectively replicate within and lyse malignant cells while sparing healthy tissue. The resulting oncolysis releases tumor-associated antigens and induces a localized inflammatory response, which facilitates the recruitment and activation of the systemic immune system against the cancer. RT-01 is currently undergoing Phase 1 clinical evaluation in China for the treatment of relapsed or refractory T-cell lymphoma, extensive-stage small cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC), and various advanced solid tumors. The agent is administered via intratumoral or intravenous injection and is being studied both as a monotherapy and in combination with immune checkpoint inhibitors such as nivolumab.
