Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**RT-102** is Rani Therapeutics' investigational oral formulation of **teriparatide**, the human parathyroid hormone fragment PTH (1-34), delivered using the RaniPill GO robotic capsule. The capsule is designed to release and deliver the peptide in the small intestine, providing systemic exposure without a conventional subcutaneous injection. Teriparatide acts as an anabolic bone therapy through agonism of parathyroid hormone 1 receptor, promoting bone formation with intermittent exposure. RT-102 completed a Phase 1 pharmacokinetic, safety, and tolerability study in healthy adult women and was being developed for osteoporosis.
