Overview
RT-203 is a preclinical-stage chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy being developed by Royaltechmed (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. for the treatment of gastric adenocarcinoma. The therapy is designed to target Claudin 18.2 (CLDN18.2), a tight junction protein that is highly expressed in gastric and gastroesophageal junction cancers but has limited expression in normal tissues, making it a promising target for selective immunotherapy. RT-203 involves the genetic modification of T cells to express a CAR that recognizes CLDN18.2, enabling the immune system to specifically identify and eliminate malignant cells in the stomach.
