Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RT-310 is an investigational intraprostatic drug-eluting implant developed by Resurge Therapeutics for the treatment of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) and associated Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (LUTS). The product consists of a bioabsorbable PLGA polymer matrix containing paclitaxel, a microtubule-stabilizing agent with cytostatic and cytotoxic properties. RT-310 is designed for a one-time, minimally invasive administration to provide sustained, localized drug release directly to the prostate gland. This targeted delivery aims to inhibit cell proliferation and reduce prostate volume while minimizing the systemic exposure and side effects typically associated with paclitaxel. It is currently being evaluated in Phase 1/2 clinical trials.
