Overview

RTC-4202 is a small molecule prodrug developed by Ripple Therapeutics for the treatment of dry age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and geographic atrophy (GA). Administered via intravitreal injection, the drug utilizes the proprietary Epidel platform, which engineers the active pharmaceutical ingredient into a prodrug that forms a solid, sustained-release implant without the use of polymers. RTC-4202 targets Complement Factor B (CFB), a critical component of the alternative complement pathway, aiming to reduce the progression of retinal degeneration by inhibiting complement-mediated inflammation and cell death.
