Overview

RTG-2024 is an investigational therapeutic candidate being developed by RetinalGenix Technologies for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease and associated dementia. Currently in the preclinical stage, the drug is designed to target the underlying molecular and cellular changes that drive disease progression, rather than merely addressing symptoms. RetinalGenix's approach integrates the use of high-resolution retinal imaging and pharmacogenetic mapping to identify patients and monitor treatment efficacy. A provisional patent for the drug was filed in November 2023, and it is currently at the pre-IND stage of development.
