Overview

**RTIL-13** is a potent small molecule inhibitor of dynamin GTPase activity, exhibiting an IC50 of 2.3 μM against dynamin I GTPase. It was identified during the development of room-temperature ionic liquids (RTILs) for solubilizing the dynamin pleckstrin homology (PH) domain in dynamic combinatorial chemistry applications. The compound also interacts with pleckstrin homology lipid domains and shares structural features, such as an alkylammonium group, with other dynamin inhibitors like MiTMAB, suggesting a comparable mode of action, though not yet confirmed. Dynamin inhibition disrupts endocytosis, positioning RTIL-13 as a potential research tool for studying GTPase-related cellular processes.[1][4][16]
