Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RTNova (CLD-400) is a virotherapy platform developed by Calidi Biotherapeutics for the systemic treatment of cancer, particularly lung cancer and metastatic solid tumors. The therapy utilizes a specially engineered, tumor-selective vaccinia virus strain that produces enveloped vaccinia viruses (envRTs), which are designed to resist humoral immunity. This enables the therapy to systemically target and destroy tumor cells while also modifying the tumor microenvironment by expressing specific proteins within tumors. The approach aims to provide a universal treatment option for various tumor types.
