Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Rubesent Syrup is an approved oral iron supplement syrup developed and marketed by the Indian pharmaceutical company Avogadro. Each 5ml dose of the syrup contains ferric di-pyrophosphate (equivalent to 10mg of elemental iron) and folic acid (25mcg) as its active ingredients. It is indicated for the prevention and treatment of iron deficiency anemia (IDA) associated with nutritional deficiencies. The formulation works by replenishing iron and folate levels in the body, which are essential cofactors for hemoglobin synthesis and healthy red blood cell production, thereby alleviating symptoms of tiredness and weakness.
