Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Rubina is an over-the-counter (OTC) Kampo (traditional Japanese herbal medicine) product line developed by Alinamin Pharmaceutical (formerly Takeda Consumer Healthcare). The product line includes Rubina, which is based on the traditional formulation Renjuin (a combination of Shimotsuto and Ryokeijutsukanto), and Rubina Meguri, which is based on Tokishakuyakusankaninjin (Tokishakuyakusan with ginseng). Rubina is primarily indicated for the relief of menopausal syndrome, dizziness, hot flushes, and chills by improving blood circulation to warm the body and regulating water metabolism and autonomic nervous system functions. Rubina Meguri is formulated to address sensitivity to cold, swelling, menstrual pain, and headache in individuals with poor physical strength and weak digestion.
