Rugose rose flower, derived from the dried buds of *Rosa rugosa* Thunb., is a prominent botanical drug in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). It is primarily utilized for its ability to regulate Qi, alleviate liver depression, and harmonize blood flow. The chemical profile of the flower is rich in phenolic acids, flavonoids (such as quercetin and kaempferol), and tannins, which contribute to its pharmacological activities, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and potential hepatoprotective effects. Clinically, it is indicated for the treatment of epigastric pain, breast distension, irregular menstruation, and emotional distress associated with Qi stagnation.
