Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ruishuan is a fentanyl transdermal patch developed and manufactured by Henan Lingrui Pharmaceutical for the management of severe pain, including chronic cancer pain and postoperative analgesia. Fentanyl is a potent synthetic small molecule opioid that functions as a selective agonist of the μ-opioid receptor (MOR) within the central nervous system. By binding to these receptors, it inhibits ascending pain pathways, alters the perception of and response to pain, and increases the pain threshold. The Ruishuan formulation utilizes a fentanyl-in-matrix technology for controlled, transdermal delivery of the active ingredient over a multi-day period. Henan Lingrui is one of the few licensed producers of narcotic analgesics in China, maintaining specialized divisions for fentanyl and transdermal patch production.
