Overview
Rukangshu is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation, primarily available as an oral capsule, developed and manufactured by Jiangsu Hengrui Medicine. It is indicated for the treatment of breast hyperplasia (hyperplasia of mammary gland) and associated mastalgia (breast pain). In TCM theory, the formulation is designed to address syndromes of kidney deficiency, liver depression, and disharmony of the Chong and Ren channels. It is an approved Chinese Patent Medicine (CPM) in China and has been evaluated in large-scale clinical trials to further establish its safety and efficacy across broader patient demographics and syndrome subtypes, including its use in combination with other interventions like acupuncture.
