Overview
Runzao Qingfei Gao is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) developed by Shandong Dong'e Ejiao Co., Ltd. for the treatment of respiratory conditions. Formulated as a concentrated herbal paste (Gao), it is specifically indicated for cough resulting from acute tracheobronchitis or acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis. According to TCM principles, the formulation functions to moisten dryness and clear lung heat, addressing symptoms of dry cough and thick sputum. The product has been evaluated in Phase 2 clinical trials in China (e.g., CTR20180010) to assess its safety, efficacy, and optimal dosing compared to other TCM mixtures and matched placebos.
