Ruppia maritima extract is an aqueous preparation derived from the shoots of the submerged aquatic plant *Ruppia maritima*, commonly known as Widgeon Grass. This extract is characterized by a rich composition of secondary metabolites, including phenols, flavonoids, tannins, saponins, alkaloids, and steroids. In preclinical in vitro studies, the extract has demonstrated potent antioxidant, antiparasitic, antibacterial, and antineoplastic activities.
