Ruyi Zhenbao Pian (如意珍宝片) is a traditional Tibetan medicine oral tablet formulation developed and manufactured by Gansu Qizheng Tibetan Medicine. This complex herbal formulation consists of thirty ingredients, including pearl oyster shell, agarwood, travertine, mica schist, safflower, and artificial musk. It is traditionally used in Tibetan medicine for various neurological and musculoskeletal conditions. Modern pharmacological research has demonstrated its potential efficacy in treating vascular dementia, with animal studies indicating improvements in learning and memory abilities. The drug is currently approved and marketed in China as a traditional Tibetan medicine, although its specific molecular targets and mechanisms of action remain to be fully elucidated in modern clinical terms.
