Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RV-1730 is an investigational mRNA-based vaccine developed by RNAimmune (a subsidiary of Sirnaomics) for use as a booster against COVID-19. It is designed to provide prophylactic protection against SARS-CoV-2 infection, including contemporary variants such as Omicron and XBB. The vaccine works by encoding antigens from the SARS-CoV-2 virus to stimulate an immune response that includes both B and T cell activation and durable neutralizing antibody production. As of early 2025, it has received FDA clearance for Phase 1 clinical trials in the United States to evaluate its safety and immunogenicity in adults previously vaccinated with other mRNA COVID-19 vaccines.
