Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RVM-V002 is a monovalent mRNA vaccine developed by RVAC Medicines for the prevention of COVID-19 infection. It specifically targets the SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant BA.1. The vaccine works as an immunostimulant by encoding viral antigens that stimulate an immune response against SARS-CoV-2. Clinical development included Phase I/II trials to evaluate its safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity in healthy adults and elderly individuals; however, these trials were terminated due to changes in the COVID-19 pandemic landscape[1][2][5]. The vaccine was intended for use as both a primary and booster vaccination.
