Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RVX-002 is a preclinical-stage recombinant protein vaccine being developed by ReNewVax to prevent invasive Group B Streptococcus (GBS) disease. The vaccine targets conserved antigens of *Streptococcus agalactiae*, aiming to provide broad protection against various GBS serotypes. It is intended for the prevention of neonatal sepsis, meningitis, and pneumonia, as well as stillbirth and pre-term birth. Additionally, the vaccine is being explored for use in elderly and immunocompromised populations who are at high risk for invasive GBS infections.
