Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RVX-OTS is a preclinical-stage live-attenuated vaccine candidate developed by RocketVax for the prevention of COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2 infection). The vaccine is based on the company's proprietary 'One-to-Stop' (OTS) technology, which involves engineering specific mutations into the SARS-CoV-2 genome to attenuate the virus. This approach is designed to create a safe, non-pathogenic version of the virus that remains capable of limited replication to induce a robust and broad-spectrum immune response against multiple viral components. RVX-OTS is currently in the discovery and preclinical research phase, representing an earlier-stage candidate in RocketVax's pipeline compared to their lead candidate, RVX-sCPD9. The platform technology is intended to be broadly applicable to various coronaviruses and other viral families.
