RX108-A

RX108-A is an orally bioavailable small molecule inhibitor of the Na+/K+-ATPase (sodium-potassium pump) developed by Suzhou Runxin Biotechnology. The Na+/K+-ATPase is a transmembrane protein that maintains ionic gradients and acts as a signal transducer; its alpha-1 subunit is frequently overexpressed in various malignancies, including glioblastoma and carcinomas of the lung, breast, and liver. By inhibiting the enzymatic and signaling activities of this pump, RX108-A disrupts downstream pathways such as Src/EGFR and MAPK/ERK, leading to cell cycle arrest and apoptosis. The drug is currently being evaluated in Phase I clinical trials for patients with advanced malignant solid tumors and glioblastoma multiforme.
