Overview

RXC009 is a novel, orally available, highly potent and selective small molecule inhibitor of discoidin domain receptor 1 (DDR1), developed by Redx Pharma. DDR1 is a receptor tyrosine kinase that binds to collagen and plays a key role in the development of fibrosis in chronic kidney disease (CKD) and other fibrotic conditions. By selectively inhibiting DDR1, RXC009 reduces inflammation, kidney injury, and fibrosis as demonstrated in preclinical models. The drug has shown favorable absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion (ADME), and safety profiles with limited off-target pharmacology. RXC009 is positioned as a potential first-in-class treatment for CKD and associated fibrosis[1][2][3][5][7].
