RY10-4

**RY10-4** is a novel small molecule protoapigenone analog designed and synthesized for its anti-tumor properties. It has demonstrated potent anti-proliferative and pro-apoptotic effects against a range of cancer cell lines, particularly **hepatocellular carcinoma (HepG2, Hep3B, HuH-7)** and **breast cancer** cells. The mechanism of action involves induction of cell cycle arrest (notably in S and G2/M phases), increased intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, induction of apoptosis, suppression of STAT3 activation, inhibition of the PI3K/AKT pathway, and anti-angiogenic effects involving down-regulation of HIF-1α and VEGF. In vivo studies in xenograft models show RY10-4 significantly inhibits tumor growth with minimal side effects, suggesting potential for development as a chemotherapeutic agent for liver and breast cancer[1][3][5][9][11][13].
