Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RY_SW01 is a mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) therapy developed by Jiangsu Renocell Biotech for the treatment of autoimmune and fibrotic diseases. It is currently being evaluated in Phase I/II clinical trials for systemic sclerosis (SSc) and active lupus nephritis. The therapy is designed to modulate the immune system and counteract tissue fibrosis, potentially offering a long-term benefit for patients who have failed conventional therapies like steroids and immunosuppressants. In clinical research, a radiolabeled version, 89Zr-Oxine-RY_SW01, has been utilized to characterize the in vivo distribution and metabolic kinetics of the cells. Preclinical data indicates that RY_SW01 can significantly improve biochemical indicators and reduce tissue damage in animal models of lupus without evidence of rejection.
